Welcome
to The Salvation Army Cross Roads Residential Services and Community and Family Services in Saskatoon
The
Saskatoon Salvation Army is made up of two shelters, a
drop-in centre, meal program, Family Services, and a
place of support and hope for adults in the core neighborhoods of
Saskatoon.
Since
it first moved into Riversdale in 1925, the Salvation Army
reaches out to people with varying needs - to people
who find themselves facing multiple barriers within a very difficult
world.
For
homeless men, we provide support by offering temporary and transitional
housing,
counsel, and respect. Our desire is to serve others with the compassion
and sensitivity of Christ.
The
Salvation Army has numerous
programs and services, geared
toward helping others re-establish
themselves into the wider community of Saskatoon and area. Those
services range from being a men's
shelter, transitional housing,
serving up to 300 meals per day to
the community,
a multitude of family services,
a halfway
house, and
providing after
hours emergency
assistance for women and
families facing crisis.
The
Centre was also home to New Hope Community
Church which served the
community's spiritual needs in a growing
variety of ways and services. Now amalgamated with The Salvation Army Saskatoon Temple Church.
Since
1925 we have been able to make a difference in Saskatoon's inner city
neighborhoods and with your help we can continue to be a beacon of hope
for those in need. Please take a look around our website, learn more about us,
and see how
you can help. If you have any
questions, we would love to talk with you.
