The Saskatoon
Salvation Army Community Centre's dedication to our community
extends beyond providing needed services to homeless and near-homeless
men, women and children and those suffering from drug addiction
and mental illness. Realizing that homelessness like so many
community ills are regional phenomena, we are leaders in establishing
effective collaborative relationships with civic groups, government
officials, other social service providers and community groups
to leverage our ability to address these issues. Some of the
groups that we support and/or work with are listed below.
The relationships
that we have established with our clients and guests provide
valuable insight into crafting solutions to the myriad of problems
and concerns our client/guests face. We work closely with various
groups to ensure that the plight of the homeless and impoverished
remains plain view. In addition to our large-scale community
service events held over Christmas and Thanksgiving, we are
involved with a variety of initiatives that make Riversdale
and Saskatoon a better place to live.
