The Annual Saskatoon Community New Year's Dinner
Helping the less fortunate.

We always believed that helping the less fortunate shouldn’t only happen over Christmas but, year round, and so is born a new tradition with The Salvation Army in Saskatoon. In continuing its efforts to help those in need throughout the entire year, We will be hosting our Annual Community New Year’s Dinner on Thursday, January 16th at White Buffalo Youth Lodge. This year’s dinner has generously been sponsored by The Murray and Audrey Neufeld Charitable Foundation Inc.

Date: Thursday, January 16 2014
Location: White Buffalo Youth Lodge 602 – 20th St. W.
Time: Two meal sittings at 4:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
Who: Anyone, regardless of income level
What is being served: Striploin beef, vegetables, potatoes and chocolate mousse dessert.

Members of the community, including Saskatoon Mayor Don Atchinson, will be serving a sit down meal to people who struggle to afford healthy food on a regular basis.
“This is a venture we started last year for The Salvation Army in Saskatoon,” says Major Malba Holliday, Executive Director of The Salvation Army Community Services in Saskatoon. “It is our belief that many low income earners who come to The Salvation Army need assistance year round and not just over Christmas. We hope this will provide hope and dignity to all regardless of any dynamic in their life and help them realize they are never forgotten.”

Tickets are free and can be picked up at 339 Avenue C. South
