Sharon and Cindy prepare baking in the Community KitchenThe Salvation Army kitchen programs were started to teach clients how to cook simple, nutritious meals in a fun non-judgemental environment. The Creative Kitchen teaches clients how to cook and teaches the fundamentals like measuring, Canada food groups, safe
food handling and reading recipies. Most have had absolutely no experience in cooking. The Community Kitchen is a group of people getting together to cook, share recipies, form friendships.

My Personal Journey

The program is reality based and helps the person to focus on the whole being, mind-body-spirit. The meetings deal with issues that a person maybe facing in addiction such as, denial, self esteem, relapse prevention, relationships and more. This is an out patient program. It is free and requires no referrals only a desire to begin a new life. It runs every Monday from 6pm-8pm beginning April 7,2008-June 23,2008. "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, the old has gone, the new has come" 2 Corinthians 5:17
