Food
Services
Our Centre
serves meals to our clients as well as meals to the public.
We serve three meals a day except weekends,
when a brunch and supper are provided. In 2007 served up almost
70,000 meals to people in Saskatoon.
A
service provided to people who are not receiving Social
Services or federal government assistance is that each eligible
person is allowed 12 free meals a month. Meals are also available
at a subsidized cost for anyone not eligible for the 12 meal
plan.
People
can sign up for the 12 meal plan by registering once each calendar
month at the Front Desk up to 30 minutes before meal times.
This allows us to record and keep track of how often a client
utilizes the free meals allowed each month.
For men
that are staying at the Centre and are working late or have
appointments during supper time, Food Services provides saved
suppers for them. This way it allows those clients to continue
to use our services and not have to worry about missing a meal
or leaving work early.
