Residential
Services | Transitional Housing
With
some of the lowest vacancy rates in North America, the Salvation
Army Community Centre is trying to make a difference in providing
12 transitional housing rooms for men as they move from the
dorms in the hostel to rooms which can rented for up to six
months at a time.
These
private or semi private rooms give men a private, affordable,
and safe place to live while they find more permanent accomodations
in the city.
Each
room has a bed, nightstand, desk, cable television, and dresser
and wardrobe. Semi private rooms have lockers for safe storage
of personal belongings. Each resident has access to free laundry
facilities and access to one of our lounges.
Because
it is a transitional space, we provide resources for our clients
to find a more permanent place to live. Each morning the Apartment
and Homes for Rent section from the Saskatoon
Star Phoenix is posted and the Front Desk provides rental
and housing guides for men who are looking to move out.
